Zeller Realty Group (ZRG) recently hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for the tenants of Woodfield Preserve Office Center to kick off summer and its newest tenant amenity, a 1,600-square-foot courtyard. The ceremony was attended by representatives of CBRE, the building’s leasing agents, as well as office tenants.

The new courtyard includes two pergolas, seat walls, a water feature with three 24-inch spillways and a myriad of seating options for tenants to gather in small or large groups and enjoy the lush landscaping that surrounds the area. The project also includes pergola and water feature lighting and the use of Wi-Fi.

Courtyard events so far have included installing raised gardens as part of The Yellow Tractor Project, a butterfly release and sunrise yoga. Additional events are scheduled throughout the summer.

Developed by Hines and Chicago-based architect Wright Heerema in 2000 and 2001, Woodfield Preserve is a 647,217-square-foot, Class A office complex. The two-building, 6-story, property features finished ceiling heights of nine feet, with floor-to-ceiling windows that provide scenic views of the neighboring Busse Woods Forest Preserve.

The property was constructed using an energy efficient, under-floor air distribution system which provides better tenant control of localized heating and cooling, as well as superb data/telecom efficiency. The amenity package includes state-of-the-art fitness and conference facilities, a tenant lounge, full service café and structured parking connected via the lower level concourse.

Additionally, the buildings feature a highly efficient, L-shaped floor plate measuring 51,000 rentable square feet, providing planning efficiencies for both large and small tenants alike. Current investment-grade tenants include IBM, Merrill Lynch and New York Life Insurance.
