Woolpert hired to boost efficiency at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport

The Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport has contracted with Woolpert Strategic Consulting to provide professional consulting services focusing on asset management at the airport.

Under this three-year, on-call contract, Woolpert will provide an analysis of the airport’s asset management program and asset information system, and conduct asset condition assessments, aligning policy, standard processes and procedures to produce guidelines specific to the airport’s needs. The data within the airport’s existing Enterprise Asset Management system will be reviewed, leveraged, augmented and refined, enabling the organization to utilize these tools, operate proactively rather than reactively, and make more informed business decisions for the airport moving forward.

Woolpert Strategic Consulting Project Manager Ellen Crews said the goal of the project is to develop a more strategic asset management program that will optimize operations within the airport’s current and future budget constraints and improve service for its customers and stakeholders.

Crews has more than 30 years of experience in design, construction and asset management programs, including 15 years with airports. She serves as chair of the Construction Specifications Institute Board and is a founder and current treasurer of the Airport Facilities Council of the International Facility Management Association.

Woolpert has worked with the airport for more than 20 years, and has provided enterprise asset management consulting to more than 20 airports, from Atlanta-Hartsfield Jackson International to San Francisco International. Woolpert also has 22 members internationally certified by The Institute of Asset Management and two team members who are actively involved in developing asset management standards for International Organization for Standardization committees.
