Stewart Jester promoted to senior vice president at National Equity Fund

National Equity Fund, Inc. announced the promotion of Stewart Jester to senior vice president of project management. The Chicago-based nonprofit is a leading syndicator of low-income housing tax credits (LIHTC) and an affiliate of the Local Initiatives Support Corporation.

“It’s always gratifying to promote from within when we look to fill key management roles,” said Joe Hagan, president and CEO of National Equity Fund. “Stewart has been a tremendous asset to our originations team first and later in the project management group.”

Jester joined National Equity Fund in 2007 working in the acquisitions group where he was an originator and a team manager, later moving to the project management department as a vice president. Previously, Jester served as a senior project manager for the Better Housing Coalition, a Richmond, Virginia-based nonprofit community development corporation that builds affordable housing utilizing the LIHTC program.

“I consider myself fortunate to inherit a strong team of bright and seasoned project management professionals that know how to get the job done,” said Jester. “I’m looking forward to growing our business and providing the best experience to our partners in the affordable housing industry.”
