St. Louis’ Gershman names new president

St. Louis-based Gershman Commercial Real Estate has hired industry veteran Chris Fox to lead the firm as president and chief executive officer. The move became effective Oct. 1.

Fox joined Gershman in 2013 as executive vice president of transactions and advisory services. In Septmeber of 2019, Fox led Gershman’s effort to partner with BurkHill Real Estate LLC to acquire Sachs Properties’ 860,000-square-foot, 18-property real estate portfolio in Chesterfield, Missouri, with a total investment of more than $100 million.

This deal represented one of the largest real estate transactions in St. Louis history.

The new executive team at Gershman is now made up of Fox; Bruce Brophy as chief operating officer; and Sue Strubinger as chief financial officer. Tom Stearn remains as executive chairman.
