Hawthorn Mall welcomes Hi-Five Sports Zone to Vernon Hills

Hawthorn Mall, a super-regional shopping center in Vernon Hills, Illinois, has added Hi-Five Sports Zone, an indoor youth sports entertainment complex. The 8,000-square-foot Hi-Five Sports Zone, which recently opened at the center, is located near Macy’s on the second floor. In addition, nine additional lifestyle tenants have recently opened at Hawthorn Mall, a testament to the significant changes underway as the center continues its transformative redevelopment.

JLL closes sale of Westlake Plaza retail center in Wilmette

JLL closed the sale of Westlake Plaza, a 42,018-square-foot, neighborhood shopping center in Chicago’s affluent Northshore community of Wilmette, Illinois. JLL represented the seller, Chicago-based Newport Capital Partners. A private real estate fund advised by Crow Holdings Capital purchased the asset. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

110 North Wacker partners with award-winning chefs, iconic steakhouse group

The Howard Hughes Corporation and Riverside Investment and Development have inked a deal that will see José Andrés’ ThinkFoodGroup, together with Chicago’s own Gibsons Restaurant Group, take 17,200 square feet at 110 North Wacker Drive. The group will operate a fine dining restaurant, an elevated cocktail bar experience and provide catering for the building’s 10,000-square-foot event space.

JLL Capital Markets closed the sale of Broadview Village Square, a 193,536-square-foot, value-add retail center in the Chicago-area community of Broadview, Illinois. JLL managing directors, Amy Sands and Clinton Mitchell, and executive vice president, Janice Sellis, represented the seller. Bridge33 Capital LLC acquired the asset.
