Hilco Redevelopment Partners hires Jeremy Grey

Hilco Redevelopment Partners, a unit of Hilco Global, announced that Jeremy Grey has joined its real estate redevelopment team as director of development. Grey will be responsible for overseeing all Hilco real estate development activity and future opportunities including the most recently acquired property in Chicago, the decommissioned Crawford Station coal power plant formerly owned by NRG and purchased by Hilco at the end of 2017.

Taurus Investment Holdings acquires $201M portfolio in Chicago

Taurus Investment Holdings, LLC announced that the US Logistics Fund I, LP has been fully deployed. The purchase of the Venture One Portfolio located in Chicago was the final investment of the fund. Launched in May 2017, the fund focused on on value-added logistics properties in major US population centers. The Venture One Portfolio is the ninth and final investment of the fund.

Skender breaks ground on new laboratory at Loyola University Chicago

Skender, serving as base building and interior construction manager, has broken ground on Loyola University Chicago’s new 10,000-square-foot engineering science flex laboratory located near the intersection of North Broadway and Sheridan Road. The mission of the new single-story building is to provide open space, movable furniture and equipment and a collaborative environment for the engineering science program’s active learning framework. The state-of-the-art facility will innovate how the university utilizes available space.

CenterPoint names Elena Daniel to vice president

CenterPoint Properties announced the appointment of Elena Daniel as vice president ESG and corporate affairs. In the newly created role, Daniel will oversee all environmental, social and governance (ESG) and corporate affairs matters. As part of her responsibilities, she will administer the responsible contractor program (RCP) on union and labor participation in development and construction projects. Daniel will also lead CenterPoint’s energy optimization, “green” and corporate affairs initiatives.
