Frontier Development & Hospitality Group LLC has appointed Rick Moceri as senior vice president of acquisitions and development. Moceri—who will be primarily based in Washington, D.C., but split his time between D.C. and his home Chicago market—is a long-term hotel investment professional with 16 years of experience performing hotel acquisitions, dispositions and asset and portfolio management.

AIA Chicago hosts Designight 2019

Celebrating its 150th year, the Chicago chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA Chicago) honored outstanding architectural projects at Designight 2019, the organization’s Design Excellence Awards ceremony and celebration at Navy Pier. The 64th annual event, attended by more than 1,000 architecture, engineering and construction industry leaders, was hosted by Chicago television personality, producer and WTTW host, Geoffrey Baer.

Eisenberg Foundation annual dinner raises nearly $500,000

On October 15 th , 700 of Chicago’s business and civic leaders gathered at the Hilton Chicago for the Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation’s 21st Annual Dinner. The event raised $490,000 to benefit the foundation’s two-pronged mission of funding gastrointestinal (GI) cancer research and advancing real estate education.

NAI Hiffman arranges $17M sale-leaseback for Young Innovations in IL, MO

NAI Hiffman completed a sale-leaseback transaction on behalf of Young Innovations, Inc., a global manufacturer and distributor of consumable dental supplies and equipment. The assets, which sold for $17.1 million, include the company’s 95,000-square-foot headquarters building at 2260 Wendt Street in Algonquin, Illinois, as well as the firm’s three manufacturing and distribution facilities totaling 117,400 square feet in Earth City, Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis.

JLL Income Property Trust, an institutionally-managed daily NAV REIT based in Chicago, has launched a 1031 tax-deferred exchange program designed to provide accredited investors with the opportunity to defer taxes on gains from the sale of appreciated real estate. The JLL Exchange (JLLX) program will offer a series of private placements through the sale of interests in Delaware statutory trusts (DSTs) holding real properties sourced from Income Property Trust’s portfolio or from third parties.
