Frontier Development & Hospitality Group LLC has appointed Rick Moceri as senior vice president of acquisitions and development. Moceri—who will be primarily based in Washington, D.C., but split his time between D.C. and his home Chicago market—is a long-term hotel investment professional with 16 years of experience performing hotel acquisitions, dispositions and asset and portfolio management.
Moceri began his career working for Tishman Hotel Corporation in an asset management capacity before transitioning to the private equity/buy-side. Throughout his career he has executed approximately $3.5 billion in luxury, full-service, limited-service and resort lodging acquisitions and dispositions for firms including Lodging Capital Partners, Carey Watermark Investors and Moceri Capital, LLC. These more than 30 transactions spanned across major U.S. markets including San Francisco, Boston, Chicago, Nashville, New York, Seattle, San Jose, Miami, Honolulu, Austin, Washington, D.C., Phoenix, San Diego, Atlanta and Portland.
Moceri’s investment and asset management background includes specializations in detailed market and operational evaluation analysis; franchise, branding, management evaluation and negotiation, capital expenditure planning and execution, as well as asset oversight. He is a graduate of Michigan State University’s School of Hospitality Business with a specialization in real estate investment and development. Moceri has recently been awarded the Alumni Achievement Award and is an active member of the real estate program’s board of directors.
