Principle Construction Corp. recently completed a 63,578-square-foot manufacturing and office facility for MLE Inc., a company that specializes in brand services including store openings, expansions, remodels, retrofits, re-openings, as well as roll outs of major marketing campaigns, signage, graphics fixtures and more.
The building, located at 540 W. Lamont Road in Elmhurst, Illinois, houses 38,495 square feet of production space, a 25,083-square-foot, two-story office space, seven docks and two drive-in doors. The production space boasts 33-foot clear height ceilings, heavy power, an ESFR sprinkler system and a 60 mil TPO roofing system with R30 insulation. The three-acre site has 68 parking spaces and an underground storm water detention system.
MLE has relocated from its previous headquarters at 1800 Lunt Avenue in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. Even though the new facility was designed to specifically match MLE’s requirements, additional features were incorporated to make it economically adaptable as a multi-tenant facility.
Cornerstone Architects provided architectural services for the project. Principle’s Mark Augustyn is the executive in charge on the project. Principle’s Matt Cotherman was the project manager and Tom Sterbenz was the superintendent.
