The Opus Group has started construction for a six-story, 218-unit market-rate apartment building in the North Loop neighborhood of Minneapolis.
Located at the intersection of West River Parkway and Plymouth Avenue, the development will offer residents the convenience of living in the North Loop with close proximity to the Mississippi River. In an effort to maintain the look and feel of the downtown historic neighborhood, the development’s exterior will be constructed with stone, brick, metal and glass materials.
The apartment building will offer first-in-class amenities for residents and units with high-end finishes. Residents may choose from a mix of floor plans and layouts including studios, alcoves, one- and two-bedrooms and penthouse units. The multi-family development is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2020.
This project demonstrates Opus’ continued commitment to development in downtown Minneapolis. This will be Opus’ third project in the North Loop, preceded by Variant completed in 2017 and VÉLO® in 2014. Situated on more than two acres nearby to the Mississippi River, River Loop apartments location offers immediate trail access to the Grand Rounds Scenic Byway System, a public urban parkway that follows the city’s chains of lakes, parks and historical sites.
Opus Development Company, L.L.C. is the developer for the project and Opus Design Build, L.L.C. is the design-builder. Opus AE Group, L.L.C. is the architect and engineer of record and ESG Architects is the design architect and interior designer.
