Newmark Knight Frank recently closed the sale of the Independence Center in Independence, Missouri. Consisting of 951,399 square feet, Independence Center is a super-regional mall servicing the eastern side of the Kansas City MSA.
Anchor tenants include Dick’s Sporting Goods, Dillard’s, Macy’s and Sears. The center also includes more than 60 additional regional and national retailers.
An NKF Investment Sales team led by Executive Managing Thomas Dobrowski and Director Katharine French of the firm’s New York city office arranged the sale of the mall to IGP Business Group, a Los Angeles-based owner and operator of enclosed regional malls throughout the United States.
Originally built in 1974 and renovated in 2011, Independence Center is one of two enclosed regional malls in Kansas City.
