Minneapolis’ Kraus-Anderson hires director of business development

Kraus-Anderson Construction Company has hired Megan Barnett-Livgard as director of business development in the company’s Minneapolis office.

Barnett-Livgard comes to KA with an extensive background in economic development and cultivating partnerships both in the public and private sectors. Most recently she served as director of business investment at GREATER MSP, where she managed business attraction and retention work, including identifying new market strategies and initiatives, lead generation, and increasing local, national and global market visits. Barnett-Livgard also held business and economic development and planning positions with the City of Monticello, City of Ramsey and Shade Tree Companies.

Barnett-Livgard earned her B.A. in Local and Urban Affairs at St. Cloud State University. She is a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) and holds an Economic Development Finance Professional Certification (EDFP) from the National Development Council.

Barnett-Livgard is the board president of the Economic Development Association of Minnesota and has served on the board of the Wright County Economic Development Partnership and on the partner advisory board of GREATER MSP. She is a member of the Minnesota Commercial Association of Realtors (MNCAR), Commercial Real Estate Development Association (NAIOP), American Planning Association (APA), Central MN Manufacturers Association (CMMA) and Mid America Economic Development Council.
