Marquette Companies has plans to extend the range of the surging development happening on Chicago’s Near West Side. The Naperville, Illinois-based firm has proposed constructing three buildings comprised of 512 residential units next to Union Park on the edge of Fulton Market.
The plans call for a new 21-story, 252-unit building located at 1400 W. Randolph Street on the site of a one-story restaurant property. At 1436-50 W. Randolph Street, Marquette would raze an existing two-story structure and replace it with two new buildingsāan eight-story and a six-story apartment building which would combine to deliver 260 units. Two of the three buildings would have ground floor retail space.
The three buildings would be near a 263-unit luxury apartment property that Marquette recently completed at 180 N. Ada Street. The company also developed Catalyst Chicago, a 223-unit, 19-story luxury high-rise apartment building in the West Loop.
