Kraus-Anderson has begun a $13.5 million renovation of Wayzata Central Middle School, located at 305 Vicksburg Lane N. in Plymouth, Minnesota. In November of 2017, voters supported a referendum to provide improvements to Wayzata School District’s schools to address growth and facilities needs for capacity, safety and academics.
Designed by Wold Architects & Engineers, the 150,000-square-foot project will remodel the school’s two-story, multi-grade educational wing with flexible classrooms and science labs, new floors and ceilings; renovate the media center; expand the cafeteria, kitchen and food-service areas; and renovate the performing arts spaces and auditorium with upgrades to the theater system.
In addition, exterior improvements include a new turf field, and extensive site work will reconfigure the bus loop and sidewalks to ensure the safety of all students, staff and visitors.
Construction is expected to be complete by fall 2019.
