Fliegl, the largest manufacturer of agricultural trailers worldwide, has relocated its North American headquarter operations from Elkhart, Wisconsin to Utica, Illinois to serve dealers more efficiently. This is a central location at the Interstate 80-39 Corridor of North Central Illinois. Sharon Stead, of the Illinois European Office, and Erik Brejla of the Illinois Department of Commerce were instrumental in assisting Fliegl with their relocation.
To ensure the success of Fliegl’s integration into the U.S. market, Ed Reichling from R-Equipment, has been named Fliegl’s head of North American operations. With his extensive background and knowledge in the agricultural market here in the U.S., Reichling will focus on strengthening the dealer network.
The Utica facility increases the capability to maintain the demand Fliegl is seeing with their steady growth in North America. This facility change will meet both the customer and dealer requirements for product support. The goal for the upcoming months is clearly defined: establishing a successful sales team as well as a strong network of dealers.
