Cushman & Wakefield has promoted David Friedland to executive director, Chicago industrial group leader. For the last 22 years, Friedland has represented corporate and institutional clients assisting in tenant advisory, site selection, dispositions, sale/leasebacks and build-to-suits. During his career, he has completed over 750 transactions with a total value in excess of $1 billion.

“Cushman & Wakefield’s Chicago industrial brokerage team provides ‘best in class’ coverage throughout all of Chicago’s submarkets and the highest levels of service,” Friedland said. “I look forward to helping drive strategy that will continue to put clients first and help them understand changing markets and opportunities.”

In his new role, Friedland will work alongside Cushman & Wakefield’s industrial brokerage professionals to build and drive occupier and investor client relationships. As part of the leadership team, he will collaborate closely with John Morris, head of industrial for the Americas, and Vicki Noonan, Chicago managing principal.

Prior to his real estate career, Friedland was an attorney practicing construction and environmental litigation. He earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Michigan and his law degree at the Chicago Kent College of Law. Friedland is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Illinois and a member of SIOR (Society of Industrial and Office Realtors) and AIRE (Association of Industrial Real Estate Brokers). Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Friedland co-owned Epic Realty Partners, which he sold to Transwestern Commercial Services.
