Core5 names development manager in Cincinnati office

Core5 Industrial Partners, a real estate property company focused on development and acquisition of Class-A industrial properties, officially announced today that Joseph Douglas “JD” Barnes has been appointed Development Manager.

Based out of Core5’s Cincinnati office, Barnes will focus on project management efforts for the states of Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio. His principal duties include due diligence investigation of new properties, cost budgeting and estimating, design and supervision of new development and tenant improvement projects, and providing technical guidance for assignments managed by third party property management teams.

Barnes joins Core5 with more than 10 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry. He previously worked at Pepper Construction Company as Senior Project Manager in Cincinnati where he completed several projects in the speculative industrial, corporate office, and higher education markets. Barnes was most recently tasked with head project management responsibilities at the Cincinnati Zoo for a multi-year $150MM capital project. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in construction engineering from Purdue University and is LEED AP BD+C, ASHE Construction, and OSHA certified.
