Eppstein Uhen Architects (EUA) and the Lake Mills Area School District announced that construction of Lake Mills High School in Lake Mills, Wisconsin, began May 9.
To accommodate growth in the area, EUA was selected by the Lake Mills School District to design the addition and renovation, increasing capacity by expanding academic and program space at the high school.
Projects include:
• A 10,500-square-foot academic addition and 20,000-square-foot renovation, including the addition of six classrooms, a library renovation, fitness center renovation and renovations to the Family and Consumer Science, Technical Education and Agricultural Education classrooms.
• Improvements and construction of a new multi-purpose outdoor facility.
The event serves as a milestone for the school district following a successful November 2018 referendum. District administration, staff, students as well as representatives from EUA, Kapur Engineering and Miron Construction Co. Inc. were on hand as students and staff turned over the first shovelful of dirt.
