All-Phase Electric Supply Co., an electrical distribution company, and Axis Company, LLC., an advanced technology automation systems manufacturer, are each expanding their West Michigan presence by adding additional space at 1810 Turner Avenue NW in Grand Rapids, according to Colliers International|West Michigan.
“This project is an excellent example of how Colliers was able to utilize their existing relationships to deliver a creative solution for two growing companies. Visser Development had the vision and knowledge to turn an auto junkyard into a fantastic industrial site that perfectly suited these two tenants,” said Trent Wieringa, associate vice president at Colliers International|West Michigan, in a statement.
All-Phase signed a lease for 50,000 square feet in Fall 2017, and will be taking occupancy in Summer 2018, while Axis filled the balance of the building by recently leasing 20,150 square feet. All-Phase was interested in the building’s central location and easy accessibility for customers, availability of parking and the building’s exposure and convenient access to US-131.
Previously an auto junkyard, 1810 Turner Ave. was purchased by Visser Development, Inc. in 2017 to redevelop alongside its other properties on Turner Avenue. There will be two new buildings, the first to be occupied by All-Phase and Axis, which will be completed in June.
There will also be a second 135,000-square-foot speculatively built building to follow.
