Chris Freeman joins Colliers’ downtown occupier services group

Colliers International | Chicago announced that Chris Freeman has joined the company as a vice president in its occupier services group and will serve office clients in the Chicago area with a special focus on tech start-ups.

Freeman joins from Element Collective, a hospitality company he founded in 2007 that developed, owned and operated nearly all of its affiliates/subsidiaries. Over twelve years, Element Collective grew at a rapid pace and, at its peak, employed more than 700 people across 14 LLCs in eight states. The company also consulted on more than seventy concepts across 38 states and Mexico, achieving sales near $22 million.

Before that, Freeman founded Four Corners (formerly Four Corners Tavern Group), a Chicago-based hospitality group that owns and operates unique local establishments with authentic social experiences. Freeman is also an accomplished advertising executive who has worked at a handful of advertising agencies in Chicago, including DDB Worldwide where he helped lead national accounts such as State Farm, GE, McDonalds, Budweiser, Emerson and Home Depot.

“Chris brings Colliers decades of experience in business creation, management and growth,” said Jim Carris, executive managing director and market leader for Colliers | Chicago. “We expect that his years inventing and reinventing businesses will contribute to his success here at Colliers.”

Freeman holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio.
