Chicagoland Apartment Association welcomes Kellie DeVilbiss as new board president

Kellie DeVilbiss has been named president of the Chicagoland Apartment Association’s (CAA) board of directors. CAA is a trade association representing thousands of apartment industry professionals including owners and managers of buildings ranging from two-flats to the largest publicly traded real estate investment trusts.

DeVilbiss assumed her new role on Thursday, January 30, when the CAA board of directors held its first meeting of the new year. Board officers were also confirmed for the executive committee for 2020. DeVilbiss currently serves as a principal and chief operating officer at VennPoint Real Estate where she oversees management, deal sourcing for over $200 million in assets, as well as implementing growth initiatives throughout the organization. She has more than 30 years of progressive experience building and leading profitable, market-leading firms.

DeVilbiss was previously a regional vice president with Pinnacle, executing the business plan for more than 4,000 units in her region. Prior to Pinnacle, she served in the role of president for Jupiter Communities, where she transformed an in-house asset management group to a fee-based service organization managing over $1 billion in assets. DeVilbiss attended the University of Illinois-Chicago where she studied communications. She and her family reside in the western suburbs and are active in supporting local veterans organizations as well as the Special Olympics.
