CA Ventures appoints Taylor Gunn as VP of research and analytics

CA Ventures announced that Taylor Gunn has joined the firm as vice president of research and analytics for its student housing and multifamily divisions. In her new role, Gunn will lead data analytics and market research efforts, providing quantitative metrics and qualitative insights for deal origination, asset management and investor communications.

“With her extensive background in real estate data collection and analysis, Taylor will be a tremendous resource for CA as we study key economic indicators to discern housing trends, forecast market conditions and, ultimately, improve performance across our international housing portfolio,” said J.J. Smith, president of CA Student Living. “A highly sought-after expert in the student housing arena and a go-to source for media and trade organizations, Taylor will also serve as an effective communicator to CA’s business stakeholders.”

Gunn joins the company from Axiometrics, a RealPage company, where she led the firm’s student housing analytics efforts, providing market intelligence to clients using the Axiometrics platform. At CA Ventures, in addition to supporting domestic development strategies, Gunn will also lead the firm’s market research and development strategies abroad in Europe. She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics, with a specialization in financial applications, from Southern Methodist University in Dallas.

“Throughout my career, I have led efforts to refine data methodology for the real estate industry as a whole, so I look forward to taking a deep dive into CA’s portfolio and providing strategic analysis for a single company with a global perspective,” said Gunn. “It’s especially gratifying to be joining a firm that not only realizes the power and value of big data, but is also proactive in identifying ways it can be used to drive growth.”
