August Mack Environmental adds two experienced professionals

August Mack Environmental, Inc., a full-service environmental, health and safety consulting firm, has added two experienced professionals in their Chicago Office. Rebecca (Harbison) Powell joins as practice leader and Steve Angell joins as business development leader.

Powell graduated from Central Michigan University with a BS in hydrogeology. In her seven years of environmental consulting experience with a regional firm in Michigan and a national firm in Chicago, Powell has prepared and reviewed over 675 Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, and designed or implemented more than 100 Phase II investigations for wind and solar farms, automobile dealerships, gas stations, dry cleaners, manufacturing facilities, foundries, plating facilities and commercial retail centers. As a firm that emphasizes its expertise and innovative approaches for its clients, August Mack welcomes Powell’s expertise in designing innovative approaches to assessments on large land parcels for renewable energy (solar and wind farm) developers utilizing the ASTM 2247 standard.

Angell brings to August Mack over 35 years of success in the business development and marketing of environmental consulting services in the Chicagoland area. Angell excels at interpreting a client’s needs and working with technical staff to design a solution to those needs. Angell, who is known for establishing a consultative approach to developing meaningful client relationships, will focus on expanding August Mack’s existing Chicagoland client base, enabling August Mack to provide all environmental due diligence compliance and remediation services to the local market.
