Broder & Sachse Real Estate’s and co-developer Woodborn Partners’ Midtown Detroit property The Scott at Brush Park has earned a gold award in the category of Development & Design: Community Impact as part of Multi-Housing News’ Excellence Awards and a silver award in the category of Best Development as part of Commercial Property Executive’s Distinguished Achievement Awards.

“For The Scott at Brush Park to be recognized by Multi-Housing News and Commercial Property Executive is truly an honor, and one we could not have achieved without the City of Detroit, our fantastic investment partners, and our tremendous construction and design team,” said Broder & Sachse chief executive officer Richard Broder in a written statement. “These awards are a testament to our firm’s unwavering commitment to cultivating meaningful developments in Detroit that make a positive and lasting impact on our residents, the community, and the city.”

Multi-Housing News Excellence Awards recognize properties nationwide in categories including development & design, adaptive reuse, best marketing program and more. The Scott was one of only two award recipients in the Development & Design: Community Impact award category. The property was recognized as a “statement of hope,” being the city’s first lifestyle-driven multifamily project in more than 15 years.

Commercial Property Executive Distinguished Achievement Awards are presented to properties in seven categories spanning development & design, best property management program, best financing, and more. The Scott at Brush Park was chosen as one of two recipients in the Best Development category, receiving praise for being completed under budget, it’s usage of green roof space, and concealed parking.

Multi-Housing News and Commercial Property Executive hosted a joint cocktail reception at the Resource Furniture Showroom in New York to announce the winners. Broder served as a panelist at the event discussing the latest trends and topics in the multifamily space, alongside Ammr Vandal, nARCHITECTS; Stephanie Williams, Bozzuto Management Co.; and Christine Slaughter, Shaw Floors.
