Ivan Baker moves up to CEO of Economic Development Corp. of North Central Illinois

Currently serving as director of Economic Development for Tinley Park, Baker will direct marketing and development efforts for business parks, industrial parks, and major commercial districts in Bureau, La Salle and Putnam Counties in his new role.

Effective July 18, Ivan Baker, CEcD, AICP,  will be the new CEO of the Economic Development Corporation of North Central Illinois.

Currently serving as director of Economic Development for Tinley Park, Baker will direct marketing and development efforts for business parks, industrial parks, and major commercial districts in Bureau, La Salle and Putnam Counties in his new role.

Primary cities in this Illinois Valley area, known for Starved Rock State Park, include Ottawa, La Salle, Peru, Princeton, Mendota, and Oglesby. For the past 13 years, Baker has been Director of Economic Development in Tinley Park.

Baker is the only honored International Economic Development Fellow Member in Illinois, and one of only 40 dual-certified CEcD Economic Developers and AICP Planners in the nation. During his career, Baker has helped encourage the development of over 9 million square feet of industrial and commercial space, involving $2.5 Billion in new capital investment.
