The Opus Group set to develop and build student-housing complexes in Wisconsin and Minnesota

The Opus Group will develop and build three residential apartment complexes near university campuses in Milwaukee and Madison, Wis., and Minneapolis.

The Opus Group will develop and build three residential apartment complexes near university campuses in Milwaukee and Madison, Wis., and Minneapolis.

Opus will collaborate with Harrison Street Real Estate Capital LLC, a Chicago-based real estate investment management firm, to deliver these multi-family projects.

Varsity Quarters will be located adjacent to the University of Wisconsin -- Madison campus and will total six stories and 162 beds. About 7,000 square feet of retail space will be available on the ground level.

IVY on Fourteenth, the Milwaukee student-housing complex, will be located adjacent to the Marquette University campus. The six-story mixed-use development will havce 165 beds and about 7,000 square feet of ground-floor retail.

The Minneapolis student-housing project, near the University of Minnesota, will be a six-story 247-bed development that will include 9,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space.

Construction is scheduled to start on all three projects in August, with completion estimated for August of 2014.
