Mark Karasick, principal with the building's ownership group of Metropolitan Square, LLC, said that the new agreement includes a reduced interest rate and an extension of the term.

Built in 1989, the 42-story building is about 82 percent leased. Tenants include the global headquarters of architecture firm HOK and the St. Louis Regional Chamber & Growth Association.

Lynn Schenck and Matt Aljets of Jones Lang LaSalle serve as the building's exclusive leasing agents. Larry Hunkins of Jones Lang LaSalle is the building's general manager.
