After receiving offers from a number of Twin Cities commercial real estate firms, Matt Stokes has decided to join Minneapolis-based UGL Services as an associate vice president in brokerage.

“The conflict-free tenant representation platform and the ability to partner with a dynamic downtown group were a huge draw for me,” Stokes said of his decision. “Residing in downtown Minneapolis has afforded me an acute knowledge of the CBD, which is where I intend to focus my business development efforts.”

Prior to joining UGL Services, Stokes gained extensive real estate knowledge during his 17 years as a senior mortgage banker with Prime Mortgage Corporation. In 2007, Stokes became managing partner of Girard Holdings. This fund was tasked with acquiring distressed assets in the Twin Cities metro area. The fund acquired, stabilized and returned-to-market more than 20 locations in the first 24 months of operation. Stokes remains as the fund’s majority equity holder.

"Matt has been a great addition to our Minneapolis team. His experience and professionalism has already impacted the continued development of our staff, our processes, and service delivery,” said Mark Evenson, senior vice president and managing director of the Minneapolis office. "We expect Matt to be extremely successful as a corporate real estate advisor. We are pleased to have been able to bring him on board."
