Waterton names VP of design and construction

Waterton, a Chicago-based real estate investor and operator, has appointed industry veteran Peg Blackall as vice president of design and construction to oversee the firm’s architectural, design and construction processes.

A licensed architect with more than 20 years of experience directing design, construction and due diligence for hospitality, retail and residential projects, Blackall has vetted, assembled and managed design and construction teams for projects totaling more than $600 million.

In her new position, Blackall will develop programing, budgets, schedules and manage complex construction projects.

Prior to joining Waterton, Blackall was director of project management at Cushman & Wakefield in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where she was responsible for the project management of more than 2.2 million square feet of main campuses and new field offices for corporate clients in about 30 locations a year.

Blackall was formerly vice president of development for Ford Fry Restaurants in Atlanta, where she provided strategic planning in expanding the company’s portfolio in the Southeast. Prior to that she was vice president of design and development at Scout Capital in New York.
