Tim Zilz joins Earles Architects and Associates’ commercial furniture division

SEAATS, the commercial office furnishings division of Earles Architects and Associates (EAA), has hired Tim Zilz as sales and operations manager. Zilz will be responsible for leading the expansion of SEAATS in the commercial real estate industry and other market sectors throughout the Midwest.

Zilz has extensive experience in business-to-business sales, training and talent development, and business operations organization. His primary responsibilities will be to oversee the business’ sales team and operations, recruit new employees and ensure a high level of customer service throughout the division.

“Our SEAATS furniture division continues to grow rapidly to meet the demand from commercial real estate firms and a variety of office tenants in Chicago and Northwest Indiana,” said Dan Earles, principal and owner of EAA. “Tim has more than 15 years of sales and training experience and is a great leader who can help us develop sales strategies and hire additional personnel to continue this growth.”

Zilz previously served as a business account executive with Spring Communications, where he oversaw sales operations for nine locations in Illinois and Indiana. He previously worked as a market business development manager for La-Z-Boy Furniture. He oversaw the development of the sales team and managers, creating parts of the sales culture used in their retail locations, as well as working with the interior designers throughout the company to keep both sides of the business working towards the same goals.

Zilz studied sports management at Indiana University and business management at Purdue University Northwest Hammond, Indiana. He lives in Crown Point, Indiana and is the President of the Board for the Schererville Soccer Club and has volunteered at Ronald McDonald House Charities, Chicago, Illinois.
