Kathy Marinac

Kathy Marinac recently joined Sherman Associates as a commercial real estate manager based in Duluth, Minn.

Marinac has worked in the commercial leasing and asset/property management business for more than 24 years. She most recently worked at Holappa Commercial Real Estate.

In her new role, Marinac will provide property management and leasing services for the Sherman Associates portfolio in Duluth. She will also work with out-of-state properties.

Scott Cordes, Josh Gabriel, Hunter Johnson and Ryan O’Rourke have all been promoted.

Cordes specializes in industrial sales/leasing, while Gabriel and Johnson both specialize in office sales/leasing. O’Rourke’s specialty is tenant representation for office, industrial and retail clients.

Beth Patterson

Beth Patterson recently joined Colliers International|Indiana Region as director of retail services. Patterson joined Colliers last year as a senior advisor.

“Beth brings strong leadership to our retail team,” said Sam Smith, principal and chairman of Colliers International|Indiana Region. “Her extensive background working for both retail developers and retailers will be invaluable to our retail services team and clients. She really understands what makes a good retail location and a good landlord, and she’s also very deal savvy.”

Patterson brings years of experience working with developers and tenants as the owner of her own commercial real estate firm, as the exclusive representative for Paul Kite Company and as a regional leasing manager for Kite Realty Group. She also possesses extensive experience managing shopping center leasing for new developments and existing centers, working with a wide range of national, regional and local clients.

“Dave has spent his entire career, more than 36 years, working to ensure the real estate finance industry is strong and vibrant,” said MBA chairman Michael Young. “His commitment to MBA over the years has been invaluable to our organization and, indeed, our entire industry. I am proud to call Dave a friend.”

Roberts serves on the Grandbridge Board of Managers. He also serves as president of the company’s proprietary lending subsidiary, BB&T Real Estate Funding LLC, which originates interim commercial real estate loans for its own portfolio.

Roberts also is the co-chairman of the association’s multi-family council, and is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association Political Action Committee.

Walsh brings 20 years of experience in law enforcement and leadership development to his new position, where he will lead Miron’s workforce education and training initiative.

Walsh previously served as chief of police for the City of Appleton, Wis. In that role, he was responsible for leadership/management, hiring/career development and budgeting/accountability.

Goldstein brings more than 10 years experience in commercial real estate development, sales, management and analysis to his new position. He also brings more than 17 years as consultant, expert witness and appraiser for the financial industry.

According to company president Dale Strauss, “Goldstein brings the type of depth and experience that is representative of Strauss Realty. We’re pleased that he has joined our team. ”

Strauss adds that as CBD analyst, Goldstein will focus on the Chicago Loop commercial properties for sale and purchase as well as redevelopment projects.

“Goldstein’s previous experience as a consultant and court-qualified expert in financial matters will be of considerable resource to our existing and new clients,” Strauss said.

Lesch comes to CBRE from Johnson Controls, Inc., where she held the position of real estate transaction manager. She brings more than 12 years of experience in the real estate industry to her new position, and will add valuable insight and expertise to CBRE Milwaukee’s Asset Services group.

Lesch is responsible for managing a commercial real estate portfolio of more than 400,000 square feet throughout Southeast Wisconsin.

In her spare time, Lesch enjoys running and biking. She has completed numerous triathlons.

Brian Vanevenhoven

Brian Vanevenhoven has been named principal at Milwaukee’s NAI MLG Commercial.

Vanevenhoven holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin- Whitewater and a Wisconsin real estate sales license. He is a member ofthe Commercial Association of Realtors Wisconsin, the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Retail Council of NAI Global.

Vanevenhoven joined NAI MLG Commercial in 2000 and became a retail associate in 2001. As the outstanding new sales associate in 2002, Vanevenhoven was awarded NAI MLG Commercial’s “Rookie of the Year” award. In 2006, he was promoted to vice president. In 2007, he was promoted to senior vice president of the retail team.

“Brian has consistently been one of our top producers for many years,”said Bruce Westling, president and principal at NAI MLG Commercial.  “He has worked with, and gained the respect of, national, regional and local retail clients, managing all aspects of the relationship and transaction. Carollo is currently specializing in the marketing, leasing and sale of retail and industrial space in Southeastern Wisconsin.

Before joining RFP, Carollo spent four years with Cushman & Wakefield of Massachusetts as a market researcher and then as an associate with the retail brokerage team. Carollo also spent nearly three years as a broker with the Fara Group, Inc. in Chicago, completing transactions with companies such as Five Guys Burgers & Fries, Title Nine Sports, FEW Spirits, Tiny Dog Cupcakes and Kelly’s Beauty World.

James brings more than 13 years experience in commercial real estate to his new position. He has closed more than $300 million in investment sales and leased more than 3 million square feet of retail space for owners and tenants during his career.

Bitton has worked with his clients to close more than $150 million worth of transactions. He earned the Rookie of the Year award in 2008 from the Columbus Board of Realtors.
