Studio Gang has elevated Juliane Wolf, AIA to partner in the firm’s Chicago office. She has collaborated closely with MacArthur Fellow and Studio Gang founding principal, Jeanne Gang, for nearly two decades to design the firm’s most celebrated projects. The firm also promoted Weston Walker, AIA LEEP AP in the New York office to partner.

Establishing these roles is recognition of how we already work together and underscores the admiration everyone in our firm has for these talented leaders,” said Gang. “Asking each to become partner celebrates our collaboration and the integral part they play in our practice and for our team.”
Currently serving as design principal for the new O’Hare Global Terminal and Concourse, Wolf has collaborated on some of Studio Gang’s most celebrated work, including Writers Theatre and Vista Tower. A licensed architect in Europe and the United States, Wolf studied architecture in Chicago, Denmark and the U.K., receiving her graduate degree from the Architectural Association of London. Her interest and intensive study of sustainable environmental design, with a unique focus on wood as a construction material, influences her design aesthetic, focusing projects on building ecologically, whether on large international projects or smaller scale, locally based designs.
“Juliane stood out to me as a brilliant designer since the day I met her—nearly twenty years ago,” Gang said. “Since then, she has worked as a close collaborator as a design team member, project leader and later as a design principal responsible for some of our most award-winning projects. Juliane is a methodical thinker with an organized design mind; she has a unique ability to zoom into the detail and the constructability of the project and then zoom out to the scale of the city. With her deep curiosity and positive attitude, it is always a delight to work with her.”
