Phoenix Logistics LLC, an affiliate of Milwaukee-based private commercial real estate firm Phoenix Investors, has obtained a contract in Herrin, Illinois with one of North America’s leading manufacturers of plastic containers, Pretium Packaging.
The industrial complex, located at 410 E. Lyerla Drive in Herrin has an additional 460,000 square-feet of space available for lease or third-party contract warehouse services. Phoenix Logistics, which specializes in transportation brokerage, warehousing, and distribution services, is providing warehouse and transportation management services for Pretium, creating new warehousing jobs in the former Maytag plant. Illinois State Senator Dale Fowler (R-59th) and State Representative Dale Severin (R-117th) were instrumental in orchestrating the deal.
“We believe the recent renovation of the Herrin facility will be an economic catalyst for economic revitalization and business growth in the area. Phoenix Logistics serving the needs of Pretium Packaging in this facility is another step in that process,” said David Marks, president and CEO of Phoenix Investors. “We hope to share more positive news in the future as additional tenants occupy the facility.”
