Grant has more than 30 years of commercial real estate experience. In this roll, Grant will specialize in securing financing for Cohen Financial clients across the Midwest marketplace and will expand and enhance the company's relationships with life insurance companies across the country. Grant has been directly responsible for several billions of dollars in commercial real estate financing transactions during his career. For three and a half years, while at Capmark, Grant acted as the company's coordinator related to ING Investment Management. As a result of his efforts, Capmark became a national correspondent for ING. Grant also served as the president of The Illinois Mortgage Bankers Association in 1987. Prior to joining Cohen Financial, Grant was a senior vice president in retail mortgage banking in Capmark's Chicago office where he was responsible for originating commercial real estate debt and equity transactions. Prior to that, Mr. Grant was a senior vice president, director, principal and head of production at Mid-North Financial Services, Inc. He is an active lecturer, teacher and mentor and is a member of the Board of Advisors of DePaul University School of Music and the Rush Neuroscience Institute Leadership Committee.
