Reed Construction has been selected to complete a 70,000 square foot build-out for a research laboratory in Chicago.

Located on the city's Southwest side, construction includes numerous renovations to the exterior and interior of the property. Reed will be responsible for the build-out of private offices, open work stations, the fitness center and locker rooms, laundry facilities and laboratory suites. Exterior construction will include the addition of a parking lot with underground storm water storage, a new entrance canopy, landscaping and new roofing systems.

Scott Pickands is the project executive for Reed overseeing construction of the facility and Jack Hennessy is the senior project manager. Holabird & Root is providing the architectural services. The project is scheduled for completion in early 2010.
