by Midwest Real Estate News ReportsMinneapolis-St. PaulMinneapolis-based Dominium Development and Acquisition, LLC, recently acquired Chateau Village Apartments, a 150-unit complex providing affordable housing in Houston. The acquisition was finalized in October and renovations were scheduled to begin in November. The property will be renamed St. James Village Apartments. Planned renovations for the property include improved landscaping and updates to the community building, specifically a computer lab, kitchen, sitting area and management offices. Individual unit improvements include new lighting, flooring, kitchen and bathroom fixtures, window blinds, appliances, kitchen counters and cabinets and interior paint. "This area of Houston is experiencing redevelopment projects and exciting growth," said Mark Moorhouse, project partner with Dominium Development and Acquisition. "This is a great acquisition for us, and we're looking forward to the extensive updates and renovations property-wide." The Chateau Village Apartments complex was originally constructed in 1981.
