Brokerage handles sale of skilled nursing facility in Missouri

Senior Living Investment Brokerage, Inc. recently handled the sale of a skilled nursing facility in Tarkio, Mo.

Tarkio is located in the northwest corner of Missouri, only miles from Iowa and Nebraska.

Consisting of 74 beds, the one‐story nursing facility was originally developed in 1986. The facility consists of about 29,000 square feet,
and sits on 4.27 acres. At the time of the sale, occupancy at the facility was nearly 52 percent.

The buyer, a regional long‐term care provider with three other facilities in Missouri, and experience with rural facilities, plans to enhance the facility's census with expanded services.

The facility sold for $1.35 million, or approximately $18,243 per bed. Jeff Binder of Senior Living Investment Brokerage, Inc. handled the transaction.
