New Gold's Gym opens in suburb of Madison, Wis.

Gold's Gym, Fitchburg, Wis.
The new 45,000-square-foot, two-story Gold's Gym in Fitchburg, Wis., will open to the public on July 20. The facility is located in The Shops at Orchard Pointe development in Fitchburg.

The newly constructed facility features slate tile, a 35-foot stone fireplace, a 12-foot waterfall, porcelain fixtures and granite counter tops. The facility includes a VIP locker room with private permanent lockers; a cardio movie theater with ellipticals, stationary bicycles and treadmills; a specialized mind/body room for Thai Chi, yoga and Pilates; a full-court basketball court; and a full-length swimming pool.

The gym also features more than 80 classes every week, new equipment, unlimited massages, tanning beds and a part-time physical therapist. There is a women-only section of the gym called "Lady Gold's." The "Kids Club" is fully interactive, allowing children to exercise while they play, and comes complete with an arts and crafts center and movie theater. There is also a section of the gym for infants and toddlers only.

Along with his partnership group, Eddie Dail owns more than 20 active health clubs across three states, with plans for more underway. Together, his partnership group has more than 100 years of experience in the industry. Although they are new to the Madison area, the partnership operates four gyms in the Appleton/Green Bay area and has plans for more gyms in the Madison and Milwaukee markets.

The gym will create about 70 new jobs in the area. Its grand opening will take place Sept. 19.
