McShane Construction Co. breaks ground on mixed-use center

McShane Construction Co. has broken ground on the new 15,116-square-foot, single-story, mixed-use building on behalf of developer, Alliance Real Estate LLC. McShane Construction will provide design/build construction services for the project located on a 1.79-acre parcel at 19801 Governors Highway in Flossmoor, Ill.

The building will feature retail and medical office space, as well as traditional office suites and is scheduled for a February 2010 completion.

Drs. Kung and Labana will occupy 7,000 square feet of building space upon completion. Several retailers and professional services firms have expressed interest in the remaining space.

The building is positioned near several area hospitals including St. James Hospital, Ingalls Memorial Hospital and Advocate South Suburban. The property also offers convenient access to I-57, I-80 and I-94.

McShane Construction will also complete all sitework, landscaping and surface parking. KLLM Architects, Inc. has been selected to provide the architectural services for the project. Old Plank Trail Community bank is providing financing for the project.
