Work is expected to be finished on construction of a new Gates City Bank in Fergus Falls, Minn., by May.

The bank, to be located on the northeast corner of West Lincoln and North Oak, is being built for Gates City Bank by the construction management firm Construction Resources Group of Fargo, N.D.

A lobby, teller stations, offices and four drive-up teller lanes will be part of the new 4,000-square-foot building that will employ eight people. The foundation for the bank has already been poured and backfilled.

Work was briefly stalled after old underground gas tanks were found on the site. The tanks were removed and the contaminated soil was replaced.
