Minneapolis’ Mortenson names director of operations

Mortenson has promoted Kelly Mansell to director of operations in Minneapolis. She will partner with Mortenson Vice President of Operations Troy Blizzard on the oversight of Mortenson’s construction and field operations across Minnesota.

Mansell is highly regarded for providing project leadership and oversight to numerous Minneapolis projects, including the American Academy of Neurology Corporate Center, Mayo Clinic Square redevelopment, 4Marq apartment tower, AC Hotel Minneapolis Downtown, Jack Link’s corporate headquarters, and the Northern Stacks redevelopment.

Mansell began her career with Mortenson in 2000 as a project engineer on the University of Minnesota Molecular & Cellular Biology project. After three years in Minneapolis, she joined Mortenson’s Sports + Entertainment Group working on the FedEx Forum in Memphis, followed by the Sprint Center in Kansas City.

Mansell returned to Minneapolis in 2007 to work on the construction of Target Field.

Outside of work, Mansell volunteers with the Minneapolis Step-Up Achieve program, serves as a 4H general leader, youth basketball coach and Sunday school teacher. She is also a member of the planning commission for the town of Warren, Wisconsin.
