Industry vet Panzer takes over Minneapolis-St. Paul CTMT office

Colliers Turley Martin Tucker announced that industry veteran Dennis Panzer will take the reigns of the Minneapolis-Saint Paul office effective Jan. 25.

"We are very excited to have Dennis take the helm of our team here in Minneapolis," said Dawn Grant, a principal and senior vice president at CTMT, who has led the search committee and the firm's local operations for the past nine months. "He brings a tremendous variety of commercial real estate experience as a broker, manager and owner. We look forward to a bright future with him as we embark on our new ventures as Cassidy Turley."

Panzer has a long history in Twin Cities commercial real estate, going back 27 years to a tenure that included sales management with two major competitors and an executive management role for a national REIT.

"What speaks the most about a person is often what others say about him," said Mark Kolsrud, a principal and senior vice president who has led the brokerage operations locally during the search process. "Dennis' clients come away with a deep respect for his industry knowledge. He has continued to be one of the top professionals in our market in how he carries himself and how he leads those he works with. Panzer began his career as an associate with Coldwell Banker Commercial, where he worked the Northwest Metro area and was named "Rookie of the Year" in 1986.

After working as a marketing specialist for Trammell Crow Company, he joined the Shelard Group, Inc./Koll/CB Richard Ellis as the sales manager in 1990, where he was responsible for expanding its brokerage division from eight brokers to 22 in two years.

In 1993 he transitioned the industrial team from Shelard/Koll to the new CB Richard Ellis platform, and became the industrial team leader, growing the division to gross revenues of $3 million. Following his time at CBRE, Panzer worked at United Properties in the industrial division, where he sold the Crosstown North Industrial Park to Duke Realty Corporation in 1999, whereby joining the firm for a time. Since 2000, Panzer has been the owner of Panzer Consulting, Inc., a firm specializing in providing market insight and marketing strategy to a group of the industry's most prominent leaders in commercial development.

"His collective knowledge of all facets of the local market is greatly admired by the brokerage community. Panzer is a graduate of St. Cloud State University's real estate program, where he was a founding member of its Real Estate Alumni Association. Throughout his career, he has been a member of the Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS, a member of NAIOP who served on many committees and was a featured panelist for the Industrial Update, and a past member of the MNCAR Board.
