Despite the sluggish economy, Minneapolis-based engineering and design firm Uteig continues to grow.

Earlier this year, the company hired two new employees, Andrew Stenlund and Jeni Tesar.

Stenlund is a systems integration engineer in the company's protection and controls market within the energy sector. He is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul. He holds a master's degree in software engineering.

Tesar is a senior administrative assistant in the company's administrative team. She holds a travel agent certification through Echols International Travel School.

Both Stenlund and Tesar will work in Ulteig's Minneapolis office.
