Chicago’s data center market will continue to cruise in 2018

The global data center market went out strong at the end of 2017, and looks as if it will continue to surge for the foreseeable future. JLL’s 2018 Data Center Outlook reveals that even after a record-shattering 2016, robust data center leasing activity continues across all major North American markets, taking around 25 percent of available data center space in many major cities.

Jon Milonas has been promoted to senior vice president within the advisory & transaction services, occupier group for CBRE in Chicago. Milonas joined CBRE in 2007 as an intern and has quickly risen through the ranks. He has completed more than 350 transactions in his career and is now one of the youngest senior vice presidents at CBRE’s Chicago office.

Colliers arranges sale of 462k SF business park

Working on behalf of New York Life Investment, Colliers International I Chicago has arranged the sale of Green Oaks Business Center, a three-building, Class A industrial portfolio in Green Oaks, IL, in Chicago’s far northern suburbs. The buyer was a commingled fund managed by Dermody Properties. Sale price was not disclosed.

Proper Title expands with Bucktown office

Proper Title, LLC, a full-service title insurance agency serving the residential and commercial real estate industries, recently welcomed more than 100 real estate agents, lawyers and other industry professionals to the grand opening celebration of its new office in Chicago’s Bucktown neighborhood at 2323 North Damen, near the intersection of Fullerton and Damen Avenues. The Bucktown location brings the title insurance agency’s number of offices to seven, covering Cook, Lake and DuPage Counties.

Chicago and five other cities—of the 13 cities sampled in Rider Levett Bucknall’s (RLB) latest tally—are holding steady from the July report, while five cities show an increase in counts and only two have indicated a decrease in activity.

Newmark Knight Frank (NKF) has been engaged as the office leasing agent for 625 West Adams, a new 438,184-square-foot, 20-story, office development in Chicago’s West Loop, in partnership with White Oak Realty Partners and CA Office. The team was hired by the owners, a joint venture between White Oak Realty Partners, Vanderbilt Partners, CA Office and USAA Real Estate Company, to market and lease the highly anticipated development.
