Legal veteran joins Indiana office of Krieg DeVault

Tammy Haney has joined the Real Estate Practice Group of law firm Krieg Devault’s Carmel, Indiana, office as a partner. She brings nearly 30 years of legal experience to the firm.

Haney will practice primarily in the areas of real estate, municipal law and secured lending, with a specific concentration on commercial and residential development, acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing.

Throughout her career, Haney has represented numerous national and regional homebuilders, municipalities, national and regional developers, retail companies, residential developers, publically traded companies and REITs and national banking associations.

She has extensive experience with municipalities, public utilities and other public entities related primarily to real estate acquisitions, dispositions, development, rights of way, eminent domain and recreational trails.

She is active in her community, holding several current and past professional leadership positions. She is the current Indiana State Chair of the International Municipal Lawyers Association, a member of the Carmel Rotary, and in January 2019, completed her term as a Board Member of Friends of the Carmel-Clay Public Library. Additionally, Haney has served as an instructor at Indiana University/Purdue University at Indianapolis, and provides educational instruction to legal and real estate-focused organizations.

Before joining Krieg DeVault, Haney spent her career in private practice at two Indianapolis-area law firms. She is a graduate of Indiana University Maurer School of Law.
