Kraus-Anderson names director of Twin Cities operations

Minneapolis-based Kraus-Anderson Construction Company has named Camille Helou director of Twin Cities operations, succeeding Craig Francois who is retiring. Together with Terry Hart, who shares the role of director of operations, Helou will manage the day-to-day operations for the company’s Twin Cities office of KA Construction.

Helou started in the construction industry in 1995 and joined KA in 2001 as project manager. In 2010, he was named vice president and director of the company’s healthcare group, guiding its growth to become one of the nation’s top 20 healthcare construction management teams, according to Modern Healthcare.

He has overseen notable healthcare construction projects, including the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis; Regions Hospital Birth Center and HealthPartners Neuroscience Center in St. Paul; Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, Minn.; Brookings Health System and Winner Regional Healthcare expansions in South Dakota; and Gundersen Health System’s Medical Office Buildings in Tomah, Wis. and Winona, Minn.

Kraus-Anderson also has promoted Bob Janssen to senior project manager. He will lead the company’s special project operations. He joined Kraus-Anderson in 2013 as a project manager.

Janssen has managed high-profile projects in multiple industry sectors, including Twin Cities Orthopedics (TCO) Performance Center, Vikings Lakes Campus in Eagan; and multiple projects for St. Louis Park Public Schools, Minot Public Schools (N.D.), CityPlace in Woodbury, University of Minnesota, Jerry’s Enterprises and Carlson Wagonlit Travel in Minnetonka.
