The Rochester, Minnesota, office of Kraus-Anderson has completed additions and remodeling at Bluff View Elementary School at 1156 W. Lakewood Ave. in Lake City, Minnesota.
Designed by MLA Architects, the $12 million, 32,000-square-foot addition features six new classrooms for pre-school and kindergarten students and a new 3,300 square-foot cafeteria. The former cafeteria has been converted into a space for Tiger Time, school’s childcare program.
The project also includes a new 10,000-square-foot multipurpose gymnasium and stage with 310-seat bleachers and lines for basketball and volleyball games. A new concessions area has also been added.
The remodel also upgraded the building’s communications system, replaced the boiler and completed the structural reinforcement to the existing building.
