Kathleen Bertrand joins Transwestern as SVP in the agency leasing group

Transwestern announced that Kathleen Bertrand has joined the firm’s agency leasing group as senior vice president. In this role, Bertrand will be responsible for overseeing leasing and marketing efforts for office projects in downtown Chicago.

Some of Bertrand’s most notable leasing assignments include Michigan Plaza at 205 and 225 N. Michigan Avenue, 500 W. Washington Street, 1 North Dearborn Street, 125 S. Clark Street, 20 W. Kinze Street and 224 N. DesPlaines Street.

“Kathleen brings an incredible depth and breadth of experience, and we’re excited to bring her on board to continue the growth of Transwestern Chicago’s agency leasing practice,” said Eric Myers, executive vice president.

Bertrand, a 14-year veteran, came from MB Real Estate where she managed the office and retail leasing of 2.5 million square feet. She is a licensed real estate broker in Illinois and is active in numerous professional and charitable endeavors, including the Chicago Office Leasing Brokers Association (COLBA) and the Junior League of Chicago. She received her master’s degree from Aurora University in Aurora, Illinois, and earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa.
