JLL has hired industry expert Steve Schwartz, who will join the firm as a senior vice president based in the company’s corporate Chicago headquarters, where he will partner closely with the firm’s Midwest retail team.
“We’re very excited to have Steve join the JLL team, especially given the growing strength of our Chicago retail platform,” said Dan Ryan, president of JLL’s central region. “Adding Steve and his extensive retail experience to our team will provide tremendous value to our clients throughout the region.”
Schwartz joins JLL from a national commercial real estate firm where he was responsible for both landlord and tenant representation. Throughout his career of more than 15 years, he has completed sale and lease transactions valued at over $200 million, worked on several high-profile leases for Chicago flagship locations, such as Steak 48 and Liberty Travel, and helped bring several national retailers, including Current Elliott, to Chicago.
Schwartz is a graduate of the New England College in Henniker, New Hampshire with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He also volunteers his time to the Jewish United Fund and the National MS Society.
