Drew Nieman reunites with former colleague in joining Riverside Investment

Drew Nieman has left his role as executive vice president in CBRE Chicago’s agency leasing group to join Riverside Investment & Development. Serving as firm’s fifth principal, Nieman will reunite with former colleague, John O’Donnell. The move was first reported by Crain’s Chicago Business.

“This change is really a return to my roots—in-house developer agent—and will allow our leasing efforts to be laser-focused on Riverside initiatives, ” Nieman said in the statement.

Nieman and O’Donnell worked together at The John Buck Company for over 25 years. Since leaving John Buck, the two continued to cooperate, however, as Nieman led leasing efforts of two Riverside projects while at CBRE: 150 N. Riverside, which opened in spring 2017, and the Bank of America Tower now under construction at 110 N. Wacker Drive, set to open in 2020.

Riverside has reportedly hired other in addition to Nieman, including Christy Domin and Camille Vandendriessche who also were brokers at CBRE. Rob Stanek, another John Buck alum, has also joined the firm as executive vice president.
